IBUPROFEN TOPICAL GEL

Medication:

Ibuprofen is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medication. It can be used to treat pain, inflammation, and stiffness, reduce fevers, or other conditions as decided by your prescriber.

Use:

Do not use more often than your prescriber instructed.

Missed Dose:

If you miss a dose of your medication and the prescriber tells you to take it on a regular basis, use a dose as soon as you remember. If you are only taking the medication as needed, do not worry about the missed dose. Do not use two doses at once.

Cautions:

This may thin your blood, caution is advised for patients on warfarin. Let your prescriber and pharmacist know any medications, vitamins, or herbals that you take, so they can check for interactions. Do not use if you are pregnant. Let your doctor know if you develop bloody vomit; bloody diarrhea; black, tarry stools; ringing in the ears; blurred vision; swelling of the hands, feet ankles, or lower legs; skin rash; or itching. Do not use Advil, Aleve, Motrin, or other non­steroidal anti-inflammatory medications while using this medication.

Storage:

Keep at room temperature. Keep out of reach of children and pets.

Dose:

Dosed according to weight. Generally available in pre-loaded in single dose syringes for customized dosing.

Cost:

The cost varies due to individualized patient drug therapy.
