KETOCONAZOLE /IBUPROFEN IN DMSO
Medication: This compounded prescription contains ketoconazole and ibuprofen in Dimethyl Sulfoxide base.
Use: This medication is used for fungal infections of the fingernails/ toenails.
Side Effects: This medication may cause a warm to burning sensation on the area(s) it is painted. This sensation is normal and should subside.
Precautions: This medication is for external use only, care should be taken to avoid eyes. This medication should be protected from light. Do not use if known allergy to any of the components, including any anti-fungals or non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs.
Dosing and Directions: This medication should be painted on affected nail(s) and surrounding skin two times a day for two months. Store away from light, as directed by the pharmacist. Regular use should result in a better outcome. This medication is generally dispensed in one 15ml bottle.
Cost: The cost varies due to individualized patient drug therapy. |
